Five stars for Chevrolet Trax

Chevrolet Trax, the new small SUV from the American car maker, received the maximum of five stars at the Euro NCAP (New Car Assessment Program) tests. With these results being made public, the Trax is the seventh Chevrolet to obtain five Euro NCAP stars, after its older brothers like the Chevrolet Captive, Chevrolet Malibu, Chevrolet Orlando, Chevrolet Volt, Chevrolet Cruze and Chevrolet Aveo.

The Chevrolet Trax proved itself as being one of the safest cars in production, despite the ever more rigorous testing procedures implied by Euro NCAP. The Chevrolet Trax obtained a good result at the frontal impact test, offering a high level of protection against cervical lesions thanks to its adjustable seats and headrest. The compact SUV obtained maxim points at the side impact test, offering optimal protection for every body part. The Chevrolet Trax managed to obtain an overall score of 94%.

Good results were obtained by the Chevrolet Trax at the pedestrian protection test, the compact SUV managing to obtain maximum points. Thanks to its good behavior at side impacts and easy yet firm child seat system the Chevrolet Trax gained another good result.

The standard version of the Chevrolet Trax comes with ESP (electronic stability program) and speed limit assist.

On the innovative side, the Chevrolet Trax comes with the Chevrolet MyLink service which allows user who have an iPhone to send tasks to their phone through the Siri application without having to take their hands off the wheel, while still concentrating on the road.
